Recently I did a casting call in the first week of building this new business, which has officially launched earlier today. I asked for people to submit a photo and a short paragraph explaining why they wanted a complimentary photoshoot with me in return for being in my portfolio. Gill was one of the people who responded and was free on the day of my portfolio shoot.

What followed was a great photoshoot held at Carr House which used to be available to hire for photoshoots. It’s a gorgeous manor house out by Brighouse, West Yorkshire and it has since closed its doors to commercial shoots and is now going back to being a residential home only. So the two people who came for their shoots were very lucky indeed to bag such a backdrop for their photoshoots.

Gill was my first shoot that day and I was a little nervous and so was she when she arrived. We soon warmed up and started shooting in the very spacious (read. massively spacious) drawing room upstairs. Within the hour the whole shoot was done and we’d covered a few different styles, looks, locations and a event hint of subtle sensuality too.

Above is my most favourite photo from the day .. I love this look for her but only her friends would be able to say if it is ‘her’ I’ve captured. I think it is but maybe this is a side that only comes out every so often .. so I’m glad we captured it that day.

Thank you Gill for gracing me with your presence and allowing me to photograph you. I hope you enjoy your photographs.

Cathie.
